Realtime Video Calls on Instagram and Messenger Using Avatar
Meta Avatars can now make real-time calls on Messenger and Instagram. Meta has announced updates to its avatars, like real-time calling, animated stickers, social stickers, simplified avatar creation, and standardized avatar looks across all platforms.

These changes are projected to improve self-expression and social interactions in the metaverse and boost conversations and avatars on Facebook Stories and message threads.
When you are not camera ready or want to present yourself better on your video call, these avatars come in handy. Social stickers enable users to interact with friends’ avatars in Facebook Stories and message threads.
To take it further, Meta collaborates with businesses like Valentino and Capcom for avatar clothing.
Shutterstock Announced a 6-Year Training Data Deal With OpenAI
Shutterstock has over 600 million images, and 2.2 million customers announced a partnership deal with OpenAI for six years.
This deal will allow OpenAI to access Shutterstock training data for image, video, and music libraries and metadata, and Shutterstock will get priority access to OpenAI technology. Additionally, both will collaborate on bringing generative AI to the GIPHY platform.

This partnership deal will help Shutterstock customers to create new content and edit existing images. Previously, Shutterstock had also collaborated with NVIDIA and Meta to develop AI tools.
These collaborations demonstrate Shutterstock’s dedication to a generation of AI-based tools and standards for creators across 3D images and text.
