During the first quarter of 2023, the number of daily active users on Facebook reached 2.04 billion. Facebook gained around 77 million users compared to the 1st quarter of 2022.

  1. As of January 2022, the penetration rate of Facebook in the USA was 71.43%.
  2. Facebook’s audience reach is projected to reach 75.79% by 2027.

  1. According to Meta, 3.81 billion people were using at least one core product of META (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger) each month during the 1st quarter of 2023. 
  2. This was a slight increase in monthly active users (MAU) when compared to the previous quarter and a year-over-year increase in MAU of about 6%

  1. In the 3rd quarter of 2008, Facebook had 100 million global monthly active users (MAUs).

  1. As of January 2023, 56% of Facebook users are male, and 44% are female.
  2. As of January 2023, males between 25- 34 years made up the largest audience group on Facebook, which is also 17.6% of global users.
  3. The second largest audience group is the men aged 18 to 24 years.

  1. Referrals accounted for 2.32% of traffic to Facebook. As of April 2023, the highest referral traffic drivers are:
