Google Launches First AI NotebookLM

Google has introduced a new AI-powered notebook called NotebookLM (formerly known as Project Tailwind) for information seekers; precisely, it will be helpful for teachers, students, writers, etc., to get summaries, answers, and ideas.

The key difference between NotebookLM and traditional AI chatbots is generic chatbot presents a large amount of information that could be unrelated, while NotebookLM restricts its information base to the document it is fed to provide information or answer questions.

It will still consult its more extensive knowledge if required, but the concept of NotebookLM is that it will initially go to the material it has fed with to grab the relevant information.

In short, it will act as your personalized AI providing relevant information based on uploaded documents. Currently, it is allowed to work only with Google Docs.

Apple Releases Beta of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma

Apple announced the beta releases of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma. These new releases include features like full-page screenshots, bilingual Siri (virtual assistant), and improved SMS sorting for dual-SIM customers. The Beta phase may have bugs; you can wait for the final version.

Bilingual queries to Siri make users ask questions by mixing English and other Indian languages. This new update is helpful for Indian users that will allow users to quickly move between English and another language while talking to family and friends.

Like Android, Apple also adds a full-page screenshot feature to iOS 17.

Apple improves Indian users across platforms with the following updates.

• Improved dual-SIM functionality includes message sorting, separate ringtones, and selecting SIM when calling unknown numbers.
• Support up to 10 Indian languages.
• Users can sign into Apple ID with their phone number rather than an email address.
• New Punjabi dictionary
• Call history up to 2000 calls.
• Message filtering on iPad

eBay Acquires AI-Powered Product Authentication Company Certilogo

eBay, a global commerce company that links millions of sellers and buyers worldwide, announced the acquisition of Certilogo for an undisclosed amount. Certilogo provides AI-powered digital IDs and authentication for clothes and fashion goods.

As per eBay’s press release, Certilogo and eBay’s collaboration will enable consumers and brands to interact and create new opportunities to activate and increase participation in the economy. Certilogo uses digital technology to manage the clothing lifecycle, validate authenticity, and provide credible information.

eBay is enhancing its authentication and fraud detection by purchasing AI-powered companies 3 PM Shield, which is a fraud detection company, and Sneaker Con Digital, which validates the authenticity of high-end sneakers.
