Microsoft Reached $2.6 Trillion Market Capital Making It the Second Highest in the World

Microsoft Corp shares ended Thursday’s trading session 3.2 percent higher at $348.10 per share, a new record high close on optimism about the prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) that made it to a record market capitalization of $2.59 trillion.

Microsoft Corp has become the second largest company in the World by map after Apple Inc having a market cap of $2.93 trillion.

As per the report, Microsoft had invested around $10 billion in OpenAI.

Synthesia Secures $90m for AI that Generates Custom Avatars

Synthesia is a rapidly growing AI startup used to quickly create videos. The professional videos can be created in over 120 languages using 140 diverse AI avatars.

The company is trusted by more than 50k customers, and some of the top companies associated are Accenture, Reuters, PWC, Xerox, Amazon, etc. The company recently raised $90M in a series C round led by Accel and other investors.

The users can simply type in the text to create the AI avatar and video, even customize it based on their specific requirements. The videos are used for various purposes like training videos for learning and development, sales training videos, technical training, knowledge base videos, etc.

Instagram is Rolling Out Its Channels Feature for Broadcasting Messages

As per the company blog, Instagram has announced the Broadcast Channels feature globally. Formerly accessible to a limited user base in specific regions such as India and Brazil, this feature enables rapid broadcasting of messages among individuals on the social network, similar to the functionality found on WhatsApp.

According to Meta, the functionality of broadcast channels allows the broadcasting of text, video, and photos to the entire follower base. These channels provide a place for audience engagement through voice notes and polls.

While only creators are authorized to initiate messages within broadcast channels, followers possess the capability to react to content and actively participate in polls.
