LearnWorlds is an AI-powered Learning Management System (LMS) designed to empower course creators, educators, coaches, and businesses to deliver engaging online learning experiences.

The company claims that as of 2023, it has served over 17,000 customers worldwide and facilitated the training of more than 14 million learners. It’s also been used by popular brands like Yamaha, Brevo, and LG, along with organizations like the United Nations.

Founded in 2014 by e-learning researchers Panos Siozos, George Palaigeorgiou, and Fanis Despotakis, the company is headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, and has offices in Athens, Greece.

For this LearnWorlds Review, I’ll test the platform’s AI features for course creation and outline generation. I’ll also explore its use cases, integrations, and support options. Based on my experience, I’ll share my opinion on whether it’s worth using for your business needs!

LearnWorlds is not your typical learning management system but an AI-powered LMS catering to diverse users. This includes enterprises seeking to train employees, educators wanting to sell courses, and coaches in the process of scaling their businesses. 

Here’s how you get started:

• Sign up: Go to LearnWorlds’ homepage and click “Start a free trial”. The platform offers a 30-day free trial on all its plans. For my case, I selected the Learning Center plan. You will be prompted to enter your email. 

• Add your school: Select the name of your school and its domain.

• Select a template: The platform will display a variety of templates that you can customize for your school based on your needs. 

• Share your background: Once you have selected a template, you have to answer questions to help personalize the school better. 

Now that you have a school ready, it’s time to use the platform. Below, we explore key use cases where LearnWorlds excels and how its features can help users achieve their goals.

AI-Assisted Content Creation

Creating and designing high-quality content can be time-consuming. LearnWorlds integrates AI tools to simplify the process. I found the AI-driven text suggestions useful as I was creating courses.

The platform has over 38 AI Assistant tools powered by 200+ expertly designed prompts that work behind the scenes. You can create course outlines from scratch or use the existing templates.

I selected the AI assistant option for my “Intro Into Tech Writing” dummy course. The AI assistant generated the following outline;

LearnWorlds allows users to create interactive courses through gamification elements like leaderboards, clickable videos, and assessment quizzes; a big reason why it’s rated among the best LMS tools. These robust features are meant to increase student engagement and retention. In my case, I added assessment quizzes to my course.

Even though LearnWorlds is presented as an educational platform, it also helps businesses grow through its marketing tools.

All you need to do is provide a topic and choose the preferred learning model. Modify your prompts or even command it to regenerate the outline if you are not satisfied with the current one. 

Take online education and corporate training to the next level by creating AI-driven contextual exams. Import your existing content and let the AI assistant generate quizzes, certification assessments, or certificates your learners can take. Present these quizzes and assessments in a format that suits you by selecting the topic, type, and number of question formats. 

Additionally, LearnWorlds AI saves instructors’ time through its feedback generator. Paste the students’ answers/responses, and the AI will generate appropriate feedback. You can refine the output of the generated feedback or even regenerate it if you are not satisfied with the current one.

Who Shouldn’t Use LearnWorlds?

Despite LearnWorlds being a powerful LMS, it might not be the best fit for everyone. If you fall into the following categories, you should go for alternatives:

• Individuals looking for a free LMS: LearnWorlds offers a free trial on most of its plans, but it does not have a free plan. 
• Those who require only basic video hosting without interactive video features: LearnWorlds is designed for those who want to create interactive courses. Those who only record videos won’t utilize all its features. 
• Corporate looking for an open-source LMS solution: LearnWorlds is a closed platform, meaning that you can’t inspect its source code or even host it on your servers. Large enterprises or organizations needing full control over customization should consider open-source LMS like Moodle instead.

LearnWorlds Verdict

LearnWorlds is ideal for educators, course creators, and businesses seeking an all-in-one platform for interactive learning, marketing, and branding. During the testing phase, I found its interactive features, AI assistant, and marketing tools very helpful in building, managing, and marketing courses. Its white-labeling solution is also great for those who need fully customizable and branded solutions. 

However, I didn’t like that it doesn’t offer a free plan. Even though it has a free trial on most plans, a forever free plan with limited features would have been a great addition for beginners or solopreneurs. Moreover, despite its academy and resource center, the learning curve can be steep for complete beginners.

LearnWorlds receives the Geekflare Innovation Award for its AI-powered capabilities and built-in marketing tools. Although it’s mostly a learning management system, it provides plenty of features for course creators to simplify their workflows.

Due to these reasons, I highly recommend LearnWorlds to serious course creators and businesses. Its paid plans are worth the investment, helping users build a community of learners and deliver true value!
