This New Feature from Manus Can Save You Hours of Data Work

Manus

Manus has launched a new feature that automates data wrangling. With just a single prompt, it transforms scattered files into structured, clean, usable deliverables. This feature can be a big boon for someone like me who deals with messy and unstructured data all the time.

Until now, we had to manually structure all the data and remove the unnecessary parts. However, according to Manu’s official X account, this feature eliminates the need for repetitive manual work that usually takes hours or even days. Whether it’s scattered PDFs, confusing tables, or long lists buried in documents, Manus handles the grunt work so users don’t have to.

Here are a few real-world examples shared by the company:

Simpler Research

A company shared an example of a researcher who had 42 academic papers stored across different folders. Each file needed metadata like URLs, authors, abstracts, and source links. Now, manually, this task would take several days. But this Manus automatically scanned the PDFs, pulled relevant data from online sources, and compiled it all into a clean Excel sheet.

Tariff Code Cleanup

In another example, the company shared a video in which Manus processed a complex tariff PDF containing 374 HTSUS codes. It fetched official descriptions, translated them, and exported the data into a well-formatted CSV file.

Sorted Delivery Bills

Managing bills has always been a hassle. But Manus’s latest feature claims to solve this issue. The company showed an example of how it turned a pile of delivery bills into a structured Excel spreadsheet. It created custom columns and even broke down goods listed under a single bill into individual rows.

Simplified Company Listings

In this example, Manus was faced with a long PDF listing with details about hundreds of businesses. However, the AI tool was able to identify all Third-Party Administrators, pull out company names, contact details, and services offered, and create a structured, shareable webpage.

This new feature can become a game changer for someone who has to manually structure data. For example, researchers, analysts, and teams working with unstructured files can now eliminate their boring, repetitive work and focus on what truly matters, like analysis and insights, rather than tedious formatting and data entry.

That’s not all. The company is constantly releasing new updates to improve its user experience. For example, recently, the company launched its mobile app, which is now available in the US on the Apple App Store. The app also supports longer context inputs and improved multimodal capabilities.

Furthermore, the company recently unveiled its paid plans. The cheaper one costs $39 per month and comes with 3,900 credits and the ability to run two tasks simultaneously. On the other hand, the expensive one costs $199 per month, gives 19,900 credits, allows you to run five tasks simultaneously, and gives priority access during peak hours.
