Pipedrive has gained massive popularity among sales teams over the last few years. There are various reasons for this. AI-powered automation campaigns, automation templates, and a drag-and-drop interface.
Pipedrive has all the menu items on the left side of the dashboard— lead management, deal management, contact management, and campaign builder. Pipedrive’s highlight feature for me is its intuitive deal management that allows you to track and add deals on the go using a simple form.
Using Pipedrive, you can auto-push the deal forward to the next stage when a desired action takes place. Say, when a deal is added to the pipeline, a new product will automatically be added to the pipeline. What’s even better is that you can integrate the sales pipeline with Slack so that when an action takes place, you’ll receive an automated Slack notification.
You’d also love its custom chatbots for engaging with prospects around the clock. You can customize the chatbot with colors. The chatbot integrates with your website through a manual link or offers direct integration with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and Google Analytics.
I like that you can create a custom playbook or pick a pre-made template for your business use case. For example, I could create an automated chatbot assistant for my website to gather more leads or book a meeting.
Overall, Pipedrive is an amazing choice for the sales team that is willing to automate the sales pipeline with its user-friendly interface.

Freshsales is an AI-powered CRM solution that empowers sales teams with features such as contact and deal management, visual sales pipelines, omnichannel support, automation, and sales intelligence.
With the help of Freddy AI, an AI assistant engine, you can easily predict leads, get insights on deals, and craft engaging emails. What I like most about Freshsales is its efficient workflow for importing contacts, managing deals and contacts, and automating sales campaigns.
You can import the contact’s data using a CSV file or integrate it with HubSpot, Insightly, Zoho, and Pipedrive. These contacts can be sorted into table view or reorganized into the Kanban view with real-time status updates.
I also found Freshsales contact management more comprehensive and easy to use than Pipedrive. Tap into each contact, and you can track their previous activities, book meetings, and add team members.
Freshsales allows you to set up email sequences in automation and perform tasks for successful lead qualification. Pick from a range of pre-made templates, and you’ll have emails sent in automation.
Lastly, its sales intelligence does not predict anything in thin air! For example, you can use AI-powered scoring and customer fit ratios by analyzing their past contacts, their engagement, and random signals.
This sales intelligence tool can also predict if the deal will close and analyze the risks based on its win or loss.
Freshsales Feature
Access to 360-degree customer view with dynamic filtering.
View the visual sales pipeline in table, Kanban, or funnel view.
Create landing pages by understanding the user intent.
Built-in CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) to generate and track invoices and documents.

Keap is a smart marketing automation tool that allows businesses to automate every stage of the sales journey using automated workflow templates with a drag-and-drop interface. One of the best reasons to choose Keap is the flexibility to choose between two modes of workflow– easy or advanced.
Use a ‘when-then’ condition or pick from a range of automated templates such as lead magnet offer, contact us, or referral request to build the required workflow. Additionally, Zapier integrates with Keap so that you can integrate it with other tools such as Calendly, Typerform, and Gravity Forms.
Here are some of the automations that you can create by integrating Keap with third-party tools via Zapier.
If you’re looking for a complete automated sales pipeline tool, Keap is a better choice than FreshSales and Pipedrive. First, it automates the contact import and creation. Next, it sends an automated email to book an appointment.
If the client hasn’t booked any appointments, Keap automates personalized follow-up emails. Soon after the meeting, you can send quotes to the clients, which can automatically convert into invoices or create a task out of it.
You’ll also love its simplistic sales pipeline dashboard that offers a Board and List view for new leads, qualified leads, quotes sent, and won leads.
Keap Features
Access to 20+ pre-made landing page templates
Connect with 4,000+ apps using Zapier integration.
Create customized invoices with recurring frequency terms.
Pick from over 22 currencies for billing, invoices, and payments.
Build 100+ custom contact and company fields for automation, contacts, and payments.

Keap offers a pay-per-user pricing option. As the user scales and the contact requirement increases, the pricing increases.

Pipeline CRM is known for creating an intuitive sales pipeline. The platform focuses largely on customizability, allowing users to create custom deal stages, change views, and use custom CRM fields.
You’d love its sleek interface that offers various menu elements at the top—companies, people, agenda, calendar, and email. I like its extensive dashboard that shows your deals and total revenue collectively in one place.
You can view different stages of deals and amounts in each stage through the dashboard. Plus, click on each stage, and you’ll have a detailed list or Kanban view of each stage. For example, I can view pitches delivered or total delivered proposals by clicking on the option.
Pipeline saves you from tab switching by syncing your email inbox in one place. Integrate it with Gmail or Microsoft Outlook to create email campaigns or manage bulk emails. You can track the email campaigns and add recipients with this feature.
One of the biggest pitfalls of Pipeline is its navigation. For instance, the automation feature is buried under the account settings. I also felt that some processes were long and tedious, such as adding a new stage or adding files.
Pipeline CRM Features
Craft emails with one click using an AI email assistant.
Ability to collect and store various document types in one place.
Create new goals for team members and track them in real time.
Add and schedule tasks, meetings, and milestones using the built-in calendar.
Switch deals in two different views: List and Kanban.
Pros
Integrates with third-party tools such as Ninja Forms, Gravity Forms, Elementor, and more
Vast customization for dashboard, reports, deals, and people
Easy-to-use mobile app
Cons
Certain functions, like automation, are hard to navigate
Sluggish customer support
Pipeline Pricing
Pipeline offers a 14-day trial with access to various sample data and dashboards. It offers four pricing options:

Grow plan costs $49 per user/month, billed annually

HubSpot CRM is an extensive sales pipeline management tool that offers tons of features for free. The platform is overwhelmed with features, so you’ll need a bit of assistance to set up your sales dashboard.
Users can create deals, contacts, invoices, tasks, and tickets by clicking the tabs on the left side of the dashboard. What I like most is that HubSpot notifies you about which activity results in the highest revenue.
Its highlight feature is deal management, which gives a Kanban view of your deals and breaks it into different stages. For example, I created this sample deal dashboard with stages divided into scheduled appointments, qualified deals, deals won, deals lost, and more.
Additionally, HubSpot allows you to import data such as contacts, companies, and call recordings using file upload or by syncing it with your favorite app. I’m also impressed by HubSpot’s workflow templates.
You can either create it from scratch or pick from a range of pre-made templates. Pick whether it is a deal-based, contact-based workflow, or any other type. You can also customize the stages of your workflow and add or remove steps as you want.
Overall, HubSpot fits the bill for small and medium-sized businesses with access to free features. Plus, you can start a 14-day free trial and get access to sales dashboards and marketing tools.
HubSpot CRM Features
Sync various communication channels, including email, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp, in one inbox.
Ability to create multiple sales pipelines at once.
Use AI to build a list and segment your contacts and deals.
Breeze co-pilot assists in sorting deals based on deal score.
Display sales activities on the Feed tab
Pros

Zendesk Sell is a sales pipeline tool that caters to SMBs because of its intermediary set of CRM features. The dashboard is clean, and you’ve all the elements like contacts, deal management, and lead management on the left side.
Its unique feature is ‘Smart Lists,’ where you can use filters to build contact or deal lists. This feature filters your list automatically based on live data. For example, Zendesk can add or remove the contacts if they no longer fit into the filters you’ve set up.
However, one thing I didn’t like about it is you’ll never know where the contact went.
I was impressed with its free prospecting feature, which allows you to scour and find prospects from over 20 million companies. Say I want to scour the email contacts of the VP of content at Netflix. You can import the prospect as a lead or contact and create a new sales pipeline.
Zendesk Sell has automations in the form of sequences and triggers. You can set up triggers for the actions that occur when a certain action is completed. A sequence sets up a series of tasks–with few automations.
Overall, you’ll love Zendesk Sell if you’re looking for sales software with a blend of support and helpdesk (Zendesk’s primary feature).
ZenDesk Sell Features
Customize the dashboard and add 10+ widgets.
Display deals in different views: Board, Table, and Stage view.

Suite Enterprise plan can be customized as per your needs

Salesmate takes customer relationship management to a new level, blending it with robust sales pipeline management. Fairly easy to use, Salesmate lets you build a custom sales pipeline with a bird’s eye view of various aspects—contacts, deals, companies, and leads.
The platform is fairly intuitive, and you won’t have a hard time learning it. You can create multiple pipelines in a single interface and add as many stages as you want. I’d pick Salesmate because of its easy-to-use interface—contact creation, lead and deal management, meeting scheduler, and more.
Another feature worth picking is its deal management, which allows you to add new deals in a few clicks. The deal management gives you a comprehensive view of all your deals in a single interface. Deals can be moved to the next stage using a simple drag and drop.
Click on the contact icon to get a 360-degree view of your contacts. You can customize the views and add widgets to your contact card. For example, I could drag various widgets like deal record stages, files, and sequences here.
Another distinguishing feature is its email campaign builder. The platform features an email marketing platform with features such as smart campaign builder, automated email journey, and A/B testing.
I like its smart flow feature, which gives the ability to add steps and triggers with an AND/OR condition. So, you can build custom workflows using actions and conditions.
However, I feel their email templates are scarce and need more variations. Also, I would have loved some pre-made workflow templates to save some time.

Personalize communications using built-in calls and power dialer.
Identify hot leads using lead scoring.
Customize the sales dashboard using 45+ widgets.
Craft personalized emails using the drag-and-drop builder.

Bitrix24 is a one-stop solution for all sales, marketing, project management, and website-design-related tasks. In my experience, you’ll need some time to get familiar with it since Bitrix consists of various tools within a single interface.
The most significant feature of Bitrix24 is its deal management. You can view the different stages of deals in different views: Kanban, List, Calendar, and Activity view. Like other sales management tools, you can move the deals from one stage to another using the drag-and-drop functionality.
As you click on each deal, you can expand into the details, such as client information and various fields like address, contact, money, link, and resources. However, there is no automated deal management.
I like that you can create and complete all aspects of the sales pipeline in a unified process. Say, when you create a new contact or a deal, you can also add information such as estimates, invoices, and products for the specific deal.
You’ll also love its extensive reporting—with real-time tracking of your sales funnel, sales plan, and sales trends. The vast reporting feature gives you a sneak peek into deals, contacts, invoices, and ROI. Most importantly, you get these reports in the form of a visual pie chart, table, or histogram.
Bitrix24 is a suitable choice if you’re looking for CRM functionalities along with marketing, inventory management, and collaboration features.

If your team uses Gmail or Google Workspace to manage tasks and emails, Copper CRM lets you handle the sales pipeline without ever leaving Gmail. Use the Copper Chrome extension to view tasks and past activity and add new contacts to the CRM—all within your Gmail interface.
One of the most important features for me is Copper’s pipeline builder. It gives me access to 20 pre-made templates, which I can browse by industry or use cases such as sales, marketing, customer management, and more.
You can name and add the new stages, as well as rename the deals as opportunities, projects, and items. Create new fields and apply filters to sort the relevant deals. Additionally, you can sort the pipeline into list and board views.
Copper CRM takes a step ahead with its easy automation feature for email, workflow, and task automation. The email automation offers templates for people, companies, and pipelines. Similarly, you can automate the task creation using a specific trigger and entity.
Overall, Copper CRM is an ideal choice for the sales teams who wish to streamline their email contacts into CRM, with pipeline management, email tracking, and automation as the highlight features.

Capsule CRM is sales and marketing-focused CRM that caters to the needs of small businesses with its intuitive and visual sales pipeline. The platform offers features for visualized sales pipeline, task management, contact management, and project management—all in one interface.
As usual, the sales pipeline can be sorted into Kanban or list view. Capsule calculates the project value using the total project cost and milestone probability. I also like that you can view the sales pipeline in the visual dashboard form.
The dashboard gives a pipeline forecast and the ability to sort the pipeline by milestones. Similarly, you can view and sort the pipelines by tags to get an overview of your sales pipeline.
Click on each deal to expand into details such as expected close date, history, and ability to add tasks on the go. Another highlight is its collaboration feature, which allows you to engage in real-time on an ongoing project or task.
One of the amazing aspects of Capsule CRM is its integration with Google Workspace. My experience with this integration was good, but my vote goes to Copper CRM if you want to integrate Gmail with your CRM. However, you can use it with Google Looker Studio to analyze your CRM data.

Insightly CRM is a basic sales CRM that offers features such as project management, sales pipeline management, and lead management using a single tool. Its most significant feature is varied dashboards: Opportunities dashboard, Leads dashboard, and Projects dashboard.
Thus, you can get detailed insights into sales opportunities, total leads, and projects differently. Here is how the opportunity dashboard looks. I love how it blends the visualization with the figures for precise forecasting.
The tool allows businesses to customize pipeline stages to align with their unique sales processes. Insightly builds automated workflows with condition-based triggers and sequences. However, I found the workflow creation tedious compared to other sales management tools.
Use task and activity management to schedule meetings, set reminders, and track communication directly within the platform. Integrate it with your calendar to directly view tasks and tap in when a new meeting or communication happens.
One unique feature is its time tracking, which allows sales teams to track their working hours. Choose the project and specific task you’re working on, and start the timer to record your hours. You can view a weekly, daily, or monthly record of your working hours.
Insightly CRM Features
Use validation rules to update critical fields and objects.

What are the Differences Between Sales Pipeline Software and CRM Software?
Sales pipeline management is a process of managing and tracking the opportunities in your sales pipeline. It enables sales teams to optimize the stages that potential customers go through, from lead generation to sales conversion. On the other hand, CRM software is designed to manage overall customer relationships, including sales, marketing, and customer support. It offers features for storing customer data, tracking interactions, and automating communication.
While sales pipeline software specializes in deal tracking and sales forecasting, CRM Software offers a broader customer management system, integrating sales with marketing and customer service.
