ReadPartner Review Methodology

Geekflare tested ReadPartner by summarizing news articles, documents, and videos, evaluating AI accuracy, customization, and digest automation. We assessed ease of use, speed, chrome extension, and privacy, combining hands-on testing with user feedback for an unbiased review.

What is ReadPartner?

ReadPartner is an AI-powered tool that saves you time by offering media and long-form content analysis and summarizing it for you in digestible format.

It’s an accessible tool that offers a Chrome browser extension to quickly summarize online content, including videos, documentation, academic studies, news, and even books.

Based on an Adobe survey, US employees spend 24 hours and 54 minutes per week (on average) to read and summarize documents. AI tools like ReadPartner can significantly reduce the time spent in these tasks.

Anyone who relies on research can use ReadPartner to reduce their reading workload and save time. This includes journalists, researchers, business professionals, marketers, students, and content creators. It is also a useful AI tool for business people and busy professionals—helping them make faster decisions based on reliable summarized information.

Founded in February 2024 by Grigory Silanayan, ReadPartner is a relatively new company with headquarters in Dover, United States.

Testing Methodology

I’ll test ReadPartner’s capabilities by summarizing different types of content.

There are two ways you can use ReadPartner:

  • Copy and paste content or URLs to their tool via its web app.
  • Via its Chrome plugin—it summarizes the page in a single click.

I’ll use both methods to showcase ReadPartner’s capabilities throughout the review.

ReadPartner Summarization

ReadPartner excels at summarization. You can use it to summarize different kinds of content, including articles, videos, websites, and even raw text.

Under the hood, it utilizes natural language processing. This helps it understand the context better and offer accurate and concise summaries.

I used it to see how well it works and created summaries for different sources and media formats. These include:

  • Websites
  • Online review article
  • Online information article
  • Text
  • Documents
  • YouTube video

ReadPartner lets you change summary settings. However, it is advised to leave them as they are. You can access the settings via the cog option, as shown in the image below.

Readpartner summary settings

The Legacy mode allows you to choose a response length from three available options: Short, Medium, and Long.

ReadPartner currently supports four languages: English, Dutch, German, Japanese, and Russian. They’re working to add more language support, including Korean, Spanish, and Ukrainian, in April 2025.

Websites

To test its website summarization capabilities, I summarized two sites: Geekflare and ReadPartner.

Let’s check the Geekflare site’s summary.

Geekflare summary website

The screenshot above shows that the summary produced by ReadPartner is short and precise. It pins down the important information in a readable format.

But what about ReadPartner’s own website? Well, I summarized it, too.

ReadPartner

It does a good job summarizing the sites. Also, you can see that I asked the AI questions, which it answered accurately.

This offers an excellent use case for business leaders who want to quickly go through different tools or services before making a decision. For example, if they’re looking for reseller hosting, they can go to popular reseller hosting providers such as A2 hosting, SiteGround, and inMotion hosting.

However, it is not capable of analyzing multiple links and providing you a comparison, which other broader AI models such as ChatGPT can help with.

When I entered the following:

I want to help summarize these three reseller hosting providers to help me choose the best one based on value for money, resources offered, and ease of use.
https://www.a2hosting.com/reseller-hosting/
https://www.siteground.com/reseller_hosting.htm
https://www.inmotionhosting.com/reseller-hosting

It replied, “The content you provided is too short; please try summarising something else.”

However, you can start with one link and then ask questions like “How does the A2 Hosting reseller program compare to SiteGround’s reseller program?”

Online Review Article

For my MailerLite review, I wrote approximately 4,000 words. It’s highly detailed and provides deep insights into MailerLite. So, I decided to test ReadPartner’s capabilities for summarizing the review.

As I have written the review myself, I can judge if it’s creating the summary correctly or not.

MailerLite review summary readpartner

ReadPartner did summarize the review correctly. It included important points and provided them in separate sections such as Introduction, Features, Pricing, and so on. Impressive!

I wanted to try their Legacy mode with the long response type as well. So, I went forward and ran the query again.

To my surprise, it didn’t do well. It returned a hard-to-read summary with no separate sections.

Online Information Article

Like websites or reviews, you can summarize information articles, such as Wikipedia pages. I’m a big fan of Formula 1, so I went forward and summarized the Wikipedia page on it.

ReadPartner summary f1 wiki chrome plugin

It does a good job of summarizing the information. It is helpful for mostly new learners to get a broad idea about the sport.

But what if you want to learn more? This is where the text summarization capabilities come in.

Text

On the Formula 1 Wikipedia page, there are plenty of sub-sections such as History, Technological Developments, Big Business, Manufacturer’s Return, etc.

So, to know more about these, you’ll have to copy-paste the text to their online web app and summarize it. Let’s summarize the F1 history section.

Readpartner f1 history text summary

As you can see from the screenshot above, ReadPartner provided a decent summary! You can also ask questions, either by selecting the pre-listed questions or asking something new. However, the answer must be within the text or the resource listed.

Documents

ReadPartner is capable of summarizing documents. You can upload documents using the file types TXT, PDF, DOC, and PPTX. But the size of the document depends on the subscribed tier, with the free tier offering 5 MB, the standard tier offering 10 MB, and the Pro tier offering 25 MB.

To test, I upload my Frase review document in PDF format.

And, it did a great job at summarizing it. 👇

YouTube Video

Not every information we consume is text. There are tons of interesting videos full of information out there. As a SaaS expert, I need to review industry leaders’ videos to keep up with the rapidly changing B2B industry.

Like text content, ReadPartner can summarize video as well.

To test this, I picked up this YouTube video that discusses Cold Calling Tips.

ReadPartner video summary

Again, as you can see above, the video was summarized correctly. You can also ask more questions for specific information. For example, you can ask what the duration of cold calling is each day. In the video, the narrator mentions 1 hour and the same is shown by ReadPartner!

ReadPartner Verdict

ReadPartner is an excellent AI tool. Its ability to summarize different types of content into digestible form is highly valuable, especially in fast-paced and competitive markets.

I like how easy it is to get summaries via its Chrome add-on. Just one click gets you the summary of any website, PDF, and even videos—that too in a few seconds. The summaries are also well-structured, showing keywords highlighted with their meaning, ensuring that you don’t have to leave the page.

This has higher implications for businesses and institutions, where they can save hundreds of man-hours by setting up proper News Digests to help teams make informed decisions.

However, it is ultimately a summary tool and must be treated like so. If you’re seeking deep knowledge about a topic, then ReadPartner is not for you. It does offer discussions, but can only work with content that needs summarization.

It can help you kick-start learning by gathering smaller bits of information (easily digestible) and then deciding on whether to read it in detail. In both cases, you save a lot of time and effort.

Based on these points and my evaluation during testing, ReadPartner receives the Geekflare Innovation Award. Its ability to create a digestible form of summaries for busy individuals such as researchers, journalists, writers, and business professionals can be invaluable for reducing time spent on reading and researching, enabling them to focus on more complex workflows.
