Deep Think for Gemini 2.5 Pro Is Coming Soon

Gemini 2.5 Pro Deep Think

Google seems to be preparing to launch a new Deep Think feature for its Gemini 2.5 Pro model. It is expected to give extra processing muscle for complex tasks. The feature was spotted by TestingCatalog and builds on a concept first teased during Google I/O 2025.

The upcoming Deep Think feature for Gemini 2.5 Pro is expected to mirror the advanced capabilities found in OpenAI’s ChatGPT o3 Pro mode. It is likely to offer more compute power for math-heavy queries, coding, and multimodal reasoning. If we go by the benchmark data, Deep Think gives a 15% improvement in math-related tasks compared to the standard Gemini 2.5 Pro. Apart from that, there are also noticeable improvements in coding and multimodal workflows.

Furthermore, the report also gives a glimpse into the redesigned interface for the Gemini web. Where the prompt bar is moving to the center of the screen, similar to ChatGPT’s layout. Within the updated tool selector, the personalization feature (used to search past chats) now appears next to the Deep Think option.

Although there is no confirmed launch date yet, since the feature has started to appear on some accounts and UI changes are already being implemented. It looks like the official launch is inching closer. There is no clarity about its availability either. But it is rumored that the Deep Think will be exclusive to Gemini Advanced (Ultra) subscribers.

DeepMind’s Mysterious “Prowlridge” Model Spotted

That’s not the only thing Google’s AI team is working on. Recently a mysterious new model called “prowlridge” was spotted on Arena, which is a benchmarking platform. The model is attributed to Google DeepMind, which has previously developed some of the most advanced AI systems in reasoning, reinforcement learning, and multimodal AI.

While the details around prowlridge remain scarce, the model is currently listed as being in beta. Given DeepMind’s track record, this could be part of a new generation of AI systems with specialized reasoning capabilities or even an internal prototype that may eventually feed into Gemini’s evolution.

Taken together, Deep Think and prowlridge point to a broader trend: Google is quietly ramping up its investments in advanced AI models designed to handle more sophisticated tasks faster, deeper, and with more contextual awareness.
