Lovable Just Got a Major Update: 5 Things You Should Know

Lovable just rolled out its 2.0 update, packed with fresh features like a new chat mode agent, multiplayer team support, and a revamped UI. In this article, I’ve rounded up everything that’s new in Lovable 2.0.

Chat Mode Agent 

Lovable has introduced its new ‘Chat Mode Agent,’ which is claimed to be 10x smarter and doesn’t make edits to the code. The agent is said to be the perfect companion for asking questions, planning your project, and debugging. It’s also agentic, which means it can reason across multiple steps and decide when to search files, inspect logs, query the database, and more.

Multiplayer 

The company has introduced a workspace with Lovable, which is now available for all users. Where Pro users will get personal workspaces and can invite up to two collaborators to projects. On the other hand, the Teams users can have up to 20 collaborators on a project. 

Moreover, it allows owners and admins to invite and remove users from the project. But editors can only manage and edit projects; they will not have access to add or remove people. Apart from that, all the users in a workspace will share the connected credit pool.

Built-In Security Scan 

Earlier, people were skeptical about the security aspect of the apps built with Lovable. The company has addressed this issue. Now, there’s a security scan feature for publishing the app. However, this feature will only be visible if your account is connected with Supabase. It will help surface vulnerabilities, offering some basic checks without leaving the platform. 

Visual Edits 

If you prefer to skip the CSS and make visual changes directly, Lovable continues to support visual editing of styles. The latest version includes stability improvements and minor tweaks to make this tool more accurate and responsive. 

Custom Domains 

The company was recently allowed to buy and connect domains right within the Lovable platform. This feature is also part of its 2.0 update. According to the company, over 10,000 custom domains have already been linked to Lovable-built apps, and the process is now more streamlined, as there’s no need for third-party integrations.  

Loveable Pricing Update 

Lovable 2.0 introduces two pricing tiers: 

• Pro Plan: Starts at $25/month with flexible usage tiers.
• Teams Plan: Starts at $30/month and includes full workspace functionality for up to 20 users.
