New Tool for Xero Partners Could Speed Up Client Jobs

Xero has partnered with BGL Corporate Solutions to roll out an integrated work papers solution designed for its accounting and bookkeeping partners. The feature will first launch in Australia and aims to reduce manual data entry and simplify compliance tasks via automation and direct integration with the Xero platform.
The new tool will allow users to import client bookkeeping data directly from Xero into their compliance workflows. According to the company, this feature can be quite helpful for tasks like finalizing client accounts, preparing tax returns, and generating financial statements.
If we go by the shared press release, this movie is part of the company’s effort to strengthen its practice tools by embedding third-party compliance features within its ecosystem.
We’ve listened to feedback from our accounting and bookkeeping partners and this partnership is an exciting opportunity to combine Xero’s robust accounting and tax features with BGL’s leading compliance expertise. Our accounting and bookkeeping partners will have a workpapers solution that will simplify how they manage their compliance workflows. Deeply integrated with Xero’s platform, this solution will make preparation, review and completion of workpapers seamless all in one platform, which will mean less manual work, fewer errors and a faster turnaround time on client jobs.

On the other hand, BGL has been part of the Xero ecosystem since 2018. It provides AI-driven document processing tools for the accounting and financial services industry. Its CEO, Daniel Tramontana, said the collaboration is focused on delivering flexibility and efficiency for firms of all sizes.
As a Xero ecosystem app partner since 2018, BGL is well positioned to launch this new workpapers solution with Xero. Together, we will develop a workpapers solution that will accommodate the diverse needs of accounting practices of all sizes to minimize manual data entry, and generate efficiencies in completing client accounts and preparing tax returns.
Daniel Tramontana, BGL’s Chief Executive Officer
The new workpapers solution will be embedded into Xero’s existing compliance and practice management tools, with support for features like Xero Tax, client records, reporting, and staff permissions.
In terms of availability, Xero partners in Australia will get early access in the coming months to test and provide feedback. The broader release is scheduled afterward, starting with Australia and expanding to New Zealand and the UK.
However, this is not the first time Xero has partnered with other companies to offer specialized solutions. Recently, the company partnered with Sumday, which gives free access to carbon accounting tools.
