No Code Platform Lovable Quietly Solves a Major Pain Point of Users

Lovable has rolled out a new feature that allows users to buy custom domains directly within the platform. Earlier, users had to buy custom domains from third-party registrars like GoDaddy, Namecheap, and more. But with this update, users will be able to get a domain, build apps, and launch them all from a single platform.
Streamlining App Launching
The feature was announced from the company’s official X account. While the platform is already popular for building no-code apps, the update now aims to make app launching even simpler.
When one user asked if this means Netlify is no longer needed, Lovable replied, “Exactly, you don’t need a hosting provider like Netlify to use a custom domain anymore – Lovable handles it for you! (But you can still use Netlify if you want).”
Earlier, Lovable users had to deploy an app using a hosting provider like Netlify. After that, they had to purchase a domain from a registrar like Namecheap. Once done, they had to manually configure the DNS settings.
The Shifting Landscape of Coding
While on one side, the concept of vibe coding or no coding is increasing daily. Recently, an Indian startup called TableSprint unveiled its AI model that allows enterprises to build and deploy no-code or low-code applications.
On the other hand, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated in an interview that “less interested in replacing coders” and more focused on making them ten times more productive.
At this point in time, it’s quite difficult to predict what the future of coding will be due to AI. But one thing is clear: the coding world is not going to be the same as before. Many organizations have already started allowing their developers to take help from platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and more.
In a recent example, Shopify CEO Tobias Ltke told his employees that before hiring more members, they would have to demonstrate why AI is not able to perform that particular task.
