NotebookLM’s Video Overviews Are Now Available for Everyone

The video overview feature of NotebookLM is now available for everyone. The update was announced via the official NotebookLM account on X.  While the feature was only available for limited access, it has already seen 1.1 million videos generated since launch.

Video Overviews take the existing Audio Overviews concept a step further by adding visuals. This makes it easier to grasp abstract concepts, follow step-by-step processes, or analyse detailed datasets. Similar to the audio format, you can tailor the video output by setting learning goals, focusing on specific topics, or adapting the content for a particular audience. Currently, the feature is only available in English. However, support for more languages is expected to arrive in future updates.

Furthermore, the team has also confirmed that the company is working on some new capabilities, including changing voices, enabling dark mode for slides, adding captions, and including multiple speakers in presentations.

However, this is not the only feature that the platform has seen. Recently, the company added other productivity-focused updates, including bulk URL uploads, which has been a long-requested feature that allows you to import multiple links at once instead of pasting them individually.
