Salesforce’s New AI Agents Are Quietly Taking Over Sales Teams

Salesforce

Salesforce is rolling out a new set of AI tools that goes beyond just writing emails or generating reports. The company has introduced Agentforce for Sales, which is designed to function like a full-fledged member of the sales team. It will be managing outreach, qualifying leads, guiding reps in real-time, and even helping close deals. Here’s everything you need to know about:

From Assistant to Team Member

According to the company, Agentforce for Sales is not just another tool that surfaces lead data or writes a subject line. It is built to carry out core sales tasks autonomously. The platform includes three AI agents:

  • Sales Agent: manages outreach, follow-ups, and nurturing.
  • Sales Coach: offers real-time guidance to reps.
  • SDR Agent: qualifies and triages incoming leads.

These agents log activities into Salesforce, keep track of marketing cadences, and pull contextual lead data to customize every interaction. This makes it possible to scale high-touch sales without more headcount.

How Companies Are Already Using It

A number of Salesforce customers across industries have already started using Agentforce to automate and upgrade their sales operations:

  • CentralSquare is using Agentforce to qualify and triage public sector leads, asking custom questions to understand agency needs and route them to the right product teams.
  • Equinix is tapping the tech to engage leads proactively and help reps prioritize high-value opportunities, with access to account-specific data like telemetry and white space.
  • Fisher & Paykel uses Agentforce to handle routine sales tasks, freeing up reps to focus on relationship building.
  • Kawasaki Engines is deploying Agentforce to summarise calls, respond to service inquiries, and handle dealer communication across the U.S.
  • Precina Health is leveraging the agents not only for sales but also for internal training, onboarding, and automating payer conversations to accelerate patient onboarding.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that Salesforce is not stopping here. The company wants to expand the capabilities of Agentforce for Sales and going forward; the AI agents will handle more complex tasks. This includes creating and updating quotes quickly, managing the sales pipeline by automatically tracking deal progress, and engaging website visitors with personalized conversations to generate leads.
