Microsoft introduced its Dragon Copilot
Microsoft launched its Dragon Copilot during the HIMSS 2025 in Las Vegas. It’s an AI-powered voice assistant designed to streamline clinical workflows. The tool integrates speech recognition with generative AI to automate documentation, face critical patient information, and reduce administrative burdens on healthcare professionals.
Regarding availability, the tool is coming to the United States and Canada in May 2025, followed by the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. However, Microsoft has also hinted about plans to expand in other markets as well where its Dragon Medical solutions are already available.
Alibaba Launches DeepSeek Rival
Chinese tech giant Alibaba unveiled a new AI model that claims to outperform rivals like DeepSeek in solving complex problems. However, it is said to be better compared to its competitors as it uses less data for its operations. Apart from that, the company also said that its new QwQ-32B compact reasoning model is comparable to other models like OpenAI’s o1-mini.
DeepSeek R1 Models: Now Running Directly on Your Copilot+ PC
The Copilot+ PC users got DeepSeek R1 7B and 14B distilled models for PCs via Azure AI Foundry. This expands the AI capabilities of the Edge and allows researchers, developers, and enthusiasts to take advantage of large-scale machine learning models directly from their system.
These DeepSeek R1 models are specially designed for Copilot+ PCs. It will initially roll out for Qualcomm Snapdragon X-based systems, with support for Intel Core Ultra 200V and AMD Ryzen to follow.
Microsoft Copilot Lands on macOS

The official app for Microsoft Copilot is now available on macOS. This update makes it easier for users to access Copilot on their Mac. On top of that, Microsoft has also improved file handling and overall experience with Windows devices.
Google Shopping Gets Upgraded With AI-Powered Features

Google Shopping also got an AI upgrade, and the product discovery platform got a host of new AI features. These new updates are said to enable customers to find and experience new products before making purchases. Currently, the new AI tools are only available in apparel and makeup categories.
According to the company, these new tools were built by bringing together Google’s AI models with the platform’s Shopping Graph. It will allow customers to generate images of apparel and find a similar product, see how a makeup item would look on them, and more.
Google co-founder Larry Page might have a new AI startup
A new report from ‘The Information’ suggests that Google co-founder Larry Page is working on a new AI company called Dynatomics. The company is said to focus on applying AI to product manufacturing.
If I go by the report, Page is working with a small bunch of engineers on AI who can create “highly optimized” designs for objects before they go into production at the factory.
That’s a wrap with the AI updates for now. But if you are interested in staying up to date with all the latest happenings in the AI and business tech space, make sure to follow Geekflare on Google News. We’ll keep you posted!
