WhatsApp in Your Pocket Now Lets You Create AI Wallpapers on the Go

WhatsApp is expanding the personalization capabilities on its platform. In its latest beta update (version 2.25.19.11) for Android, the messaging giant has started rolling out a new AI-powered chat wallpaper feature. First spotted by WaBetaInfo, this feature allows you to generate unique chat wallpapers using Meta AI.
While the feature is currently being tested with select beta users who’ve updated to the latest version via the Google Play Beta Program, a few users running earlier versions might also see the same functionality enabled.
Since AI is now part of our daily lives, this update will allow you to generate custom wallpapers through conversational prompts. While Meta AI’s broader integration into WhatsApp is still evolving, this is a major step towards making the platform more dynamic and user-centric.
How Does It Work?
Although the feature is still in limited testing, early access users can likely expect a dedicated option in chat settings or the Meta AI section, where they can type in prompts to generate tailored wallpapers on the fly. Whether it’s a scenic sunset or a futuristic design, the possibilities seem wide open.

WhatsApp Now Supports ChatGPT’s ImageGen
On a related note, OpenAI’s ChatGPT has also brought its popular ImageGen feature to WhatsApp. It now allows you to generate images by messaging 1-800-ChatGPT directly on WhatsApp.
All these updates turn WhatsApp into a compact creative tool, giving you access to AI-generated images and wallpapers right inside the app. This means now we don’t have to juggle between apps or websites to create simple images using AI.
