You Can Now Talk to Claude on Mobile

Claude (2)

Anthropic has unveiled voice mode Claude’s mobile app. The company announced the feature via its official X handle. The feature is currently being rolled out to beta users. It supports English and will be available to all plan tiers over the next few weeks.

If you are a beta user, you can start the voice chats on Claude to summarise a calendar, search through documents, or carry out basic requests without typing. It brings Claude’s mobile app closer to real-time, hands-free use cases that are becoming standard in next-gen AI tools. Today, the majority of popular AI apps, like Perplexity and ChatGPT, support voice mode, and now this feature is also coming to Claude.

If you have not received the feature yet, then don’t worry. Sometimes, a new rollout does take time, so you can expect to receive the feature in the coming weeks.

This update comes shortly after the launch of Anthropic’s most powerful AI models to date, Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. Released as part of the Claude 4 family, both of these models focus on improving AI’s performance in reasoning, coding, and agent-like workflows.

According to the company, the Claude Opus 4, outperformed its competitors with a 72.5% score on the SWE-bench and 43.2% on the Terminal-bench. It’s built to manage complex, long-running tasks without losing context or accuracy. On the other hand, Sonnet 4 achieved 72.7% on SWE-bench. And it comes with a more balanced approach, delivering better instruction-following and practical responsiveness for everyday tasks.

Apart from that, both models also support an “extended thinking” ability, which allows them to switch between internal reasoning and external tool use to generate more complete and context-rich answers.
