For better or worse, location-based services and apps have begun to step into our online experience.
I can give you many reasons to spoof your GPS location, even though the act has some ethical concerns. However, if you’re reading this, chances are you have at least one solid reason to mask your location – to protect your privacy, prevent tracking, access location-specific content, or plan your travel itinerary.
Regardless of why you need a location-changing app, AnyTo by iMyFone is the answer. This all-inclusive app can change your location in just 1 click, whether on iPhone or Android.
I’ve been using the app for a while, along with a few other options. Read on about my experience with AnyTo by iMyFone and why it could be a valuable app for you if you want to spoof your location.
Why Changing Location Can Be Useful?
If you’re not trying to evade the police, why could you possibly need to fake your location? Location spoofing can be useful in several scenarios, not all of which entail escaping law enforcement.
Below are some real-life use cases of a GPS location-changing tool. It’s not illegal to change your location using such apps if these are the reasons you’re using them for
#1. Privacy Protection 🪪
The digital era has put us on display. From our names, photos, phone numbers, addresses, and even locations, everything can be seen by other people. But privacy is still not a myth.
Apps like AnyTo are designed to protect our location, as several devices and apps try to track us in real time. Location spoofing tools allow individuals to protect their privacy and prevent unauthorized access to their actual whereabouts.
#2. Access to Region-specific Content 🍿
Due to licensing agreements or regional regulations, various streaming platforms, apps, and websites offer services in specific locations. For example, Netflix doesn’t provide the same content in every region. It tailors its catalog based on the location. Location changing can give you access to content restricted in your region but available in another.
#3. Online Research and Market Analysis 🔎
Changing location can also be invaluable for professionals in advertising and marketing since it can aid in market research, competitor analysis, or trend monitoring. You can collect data from different regions from the comfort of your couch, saving you plenty of time and money.

#4. Location Anonymity 📍
Location-specific ads are a whole new nuisance you can avoid by spoofing your location. It allows you to maintain some semblance of anonymity and save you a series of ads that are not relevant to you.
#5. Travel Planning 🌏
Location changing can be really beneficial when planning a realistic travel itinerary based on actual distances and feasible travel time. If you’ve got yourself a good app (hint: AnyTo,) you can explore the place virtually before planning your footsteps and writing down the points of interest. This will save you so much time in planning and executing your travels.
These are only a few benefits of changing location to name. The more powerful the app is, the broader its scope of operation. Moreover, these are some use cases that are perfectly legal and ethical.
Nobody can put you behind bars for faking your location to protect your privacy and access content or wanting to keep your location anonymous.
Introduction to iMyFone AnyTo
AnyTo by iMyFone is one of the most popular apps for location spoofing. While I was drawn to use the app because of the hype around it, having used it now, I can vouch for all the good things you have heard about the app.
You can use AnyTo for various purposes, including location-based app testing, maintaining personal privacy, and location-specific content access.
Features of AnyTo
AnyTo offers all the features that you can expect from a location-changing app. Here are some of my favorite abilities of the app:
#1. GPS Location Changing
AnyTo can hide your location if you think someone is tracking your phone. You can create a virtual place on the map and prevent your contacts from tracing you.
In addition, you can fake your whereabouts by creating a fake virtual location, which is shareable on social media platforms.
Moreover, this feature can be used to engage with people from different countries on dating apps. So, if you want to try your romantic luck overseas, AnyTo is at your service.
#2. Movement Simulation
GPS location changing is offered by every GPS-changing app out there. However, AnyTo takes it to the next level. Apart from faking the location, it can also fake your real-time movement through simulation.
You can make real-time routes on the map and follow them. Yeah, it sounds like a lot of work, but doing so can convince your stalkers that the location you have spoofed is legit. The more creative you can get with your routes, the better.
#3. Multi-spot Mode
For a straightforward route, the two-spot mode is ideal. But if you’re looking to create a more complex route with more than one stop on the map, multi-spot mode is your savior.
This can provide you with more complex control over your simulated movements. You’ll get the option to choose up to 100 spots, so you can be as creative as you want with the simulation.
#4. Customizable Speed
Now, this is where AnyTo hits the nail on the head. AnyTo is so customizable it allows you to set the speed of your journey by mimicking the actual activities, such as cycling, driving, walking, etc. Depending on your desired temp, you can choose from 1m/s to 10 m/s. It can be 1m/s for slow travel, while for speedy travel, it can be higher.

Ease of Use and Interface
Whether you’re a newbie or an old dog, everyone loves an interface that doesn’t need much “getting used to.” AnyTo fits the bill. The app’s UI is highly intuitive during installation or while using it. You can simply download it and use the free version of the app without signing up.
You only have to register if you want to use the paid version of the app, which comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. From changing your location to creating virtual maps, setting up several stops, and customizing the speed of your movement, all of these can be done quickly without pulling your hair out in frustration.
You can simply restart your device if you want to switch back to your actual location – no need to manually change it from the app. I found the AnyTo app pretty straightforward, with no redundant features or something I couldn’t understand.
Compatibility
AnyTo is compatible with almost all iPhone, Android, iPad, and iPod touch models. For iOS, it works with version 7.0 and later, and Android with version 5.0 and later. For it to work, you also need a computer running Windows 11/10/8/7 or macOS 10.9 – macOS 13.
Here are the system requirements for the tool:
- Win: 1GHz (32-bit or 64-bit) or above
- Mac: 1GHz Intel or above
- Win: 256 MB or more of RAM (1024MB Recommended)
- Mac: 512 MB or more
- Hard Disk Space: 200 MB or more free space
If your system meets the requirements, you can seamlessly use AnyTo to spoof your location.
Free vs. Paid Version
AnyTo offers free and paid versions, but the former has some limitations on the features and usage. First, the free version permits you to use the teleport mode 5 times and the two-spot mode just once. As long as you’re mindful of the usage restriction, you can use the app for as long as you want.
The free version is designed to allow you to take the app on a test drive. You can explore the different offerings of the app, use some limited features, familiarise yourself with the user interface, and if you like what you see, you can hop onto their paid version.
AnyTo offers several plans to cater to all kinds of needs. Here’s a rundown of their pricing:
- One-month plan: $14.99
- Yearly plan: $59.99
- Lifetime plan: $89.99
Your subscription is auto-renewed until you cancel the plan. You can easily cancel your subscription anytime, with no additional charge.
Start small if you’re unsure whether it’ll be a good investment. Go for the one-month plan and see if it meets your needs, and then you can make your way up. The best part is iMyFone AnyTo offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all the plans.
How To Use iMyFone AnyTo
It can take you 2-3 minutes to set up AnyTo and get it running on your device. Here’s how to set up the software and start using it to change your location:
Step 1: Download and install iMyFone AnyTo on your computer.
Step 2: Once the app has been installed, you’ll be asked to connect your iPhone or Android via the USB cable.
Follow the onscreen instructions and allow your system to recognize your device. Ensure you have sufficient charge and the USB cable is working perfectly. You only have to connect the devices via a USB cable the first time. The next time, you can connect the two under the same WiFi network.
Step 3: Enable Developer Mode on your smartphone with the help of on-screen instructions.
Step 4: Pick location mocking mode. While the process for setting up and using the app is almost the same for iOS and Android, there’s a slight difference. If you’re using AnyTo on Android, you would have to pick from two location mocking modes. Those are Gaming and Social.
Step 4: Enter the GPS coordinates. While your phone and computer are connected, launch the app. You’d be directed to a map that shows your actual location. Choose the Teleport Mode and zoom in or out, or scroll around to find the location where you want to be teleported. You can also enter the address where you want to be shown or drop a pin.
All done! You’ve successfully transported yourself to a different location without moving anywhere.
If you want to confirm whether this nifty trick has worked, all you have to do is open the Maps app on your phone and check your current location. If your current location is the same as the one you entered, AnyTo has done the job.
How to Simulate the GPS Movement
You can also simulate the GPS movement and customize your route as you see fit. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Select the Jump Teleport Mode to customize the jumping teleport route.
Step 2: Pick all the jumping teleport spots you want to be seen passing by, or enter the GPS coordinates.
Step 3: Once you’ve finalized a route, click Move to jump to the next spot and switch between the last and the next spot as you like.
Step 4: Whenever you want to end the route, click on End. You can also enable Auto-jump after the cooldown timer (a countdown that prevents you from changing your location on your iPhone or Android too frequently) before starting the route. This will allow the checked route to jump to the next spot based on the timer. It’ll go on until the route is complete.
Once the journey is complete, you’ll get a pop-up that says, “Route completed and saved to historical records.”
Alternatives to iMyFone AnyTo
If you don’t think AnyTo has what you’re looking for, several alternatives to the app offer the same range of services or something unique. I find AnyTo to be the best GPS-changing app, but here are some other options you can look into:
#1. Tenorshare iAnyGo
Tenorshare iAnyGo can virtually teleport you anywhere in the world with just a single click and without jailbreaking. You can select from 3 types of virtual movements – single-spot, multi-spot, and joystick.
Using the joystick mode, you can go off the road and create a highly customizable route, while with multi-spot mode, you can make multiple stops along the way until you reach your destination.
The app allows you to change the location even for social media. You can date people from different locations through apps like Bumble and Tinder or trick your friends into believing you’re sipping a Martini on a relaxing Sunday in France. After all, the maps can’t lie, can they?
The app comes with a cooldown timer, zoom map in and out, adjustable moving speed, joystick movement, historical records, import and export of the GPX files, among much more.
#2. Dr.Fone
Dr.Fone is a nifty location changer that can teleport your GPS location quickly and simulate GPS movement. Using the app, you can hide your location on iOS or Android, spoof your location on social media apps, mock your location on dating apps, and even bypass geo-restricted content.
This app also comes with a joystick control to help you control your movements while planning your route. You can collect your favorite routes and locations once you’ve made them for quick access when you need them.
Moreover, Dr. Fone’s solution supports up to 5 devices on 1 PC or Mac simultaneously.
#3. EaseUS MobiAnyGo
EaseUS MobiAnyGo allows you to set up a virtual location in just a few simple steps. While the app offers almost all the basic features of a location-changing app, it only supports iOS devices. This can be a major drawback for you if you’re an Android user.
Here are some of the main features of this tool:
- Instant location changing
- Customizable routes
- Simulate GPS
- Set automatic routes
- Set coordinate
- Save frequently-used locations
Overall, EaseUS MobiAnyGO is an impressive GPS location-changing tool, but I don’t see it being better than iMyFone AnyTo. The latter is much more advanced, offers more features, and provides more flexibility while being available on both iOS and Android.
Closing Thoughts
AnyTo by iMyFone is one of the best location-changing apps for obvious reasons. It changes your location with just one click, can create customized routes for you between one and multi-spots, simulate GPS movement, and customize the speed.
The final result is shareable on almost all social media and dating apps and can also be used to prevent stalkers or geo-based apps from tracking your location.
Having used AnyTo and a few similar apps, I can vouch for it because of its ease of use and intuitive interface. You can’t possibly ask for more than what this software offers.
Next, learn how to share location on Android with friends and family.
