A brief hands-on review of CapSolver to solve CAPTCHAs with ease.
Every coin has two sides. The same is true for CAPTCHA challenges. These puzzles tell the humans apart from Bots and are very effective in preventing unauthorized access, spamming, and other malicious activities.
However, it can have undesirable consequences for certain use cases, such as with people having disabilities or for market research professionals. In those situations, it’s very handy to have some tool proving as “human” in your place.
That’s where anti-captcha utilities, like CapSolver, come into the picture.
Disclaimer: Geekflare is strictly against using anti-Captcha solutions for serving malicious intent.
What is CapSolver?
Powered by machine learning, CapSolver is an anti-captcha service.
For those new, CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. The purpose of this technology is very clear. And as already stated, there are some situations where you would just want its absence or get rid of it “automatically.”
But since captchas can’t just vanish and should be solved, you need someone or something to do it on your behalf. CapSolver is one tool that helps you do that.
Whether you are a highly skilled programmer or a non-technical individual, CapSolver provides captcha solutions tailored to your needs. CapSolver offers both API and extension services. The API service offers detailed code examples and configuration details, while the extension service currently supports Chrome and Firefox, with plans to extend support to browsers like Edge and Opera in the future.
In summary, CapSolver is the leading captcha recognition and verification service in the market, known for its exceptional speed in image recognition.
For standard internet users, CapSolver can help you during online shopping, commenting on online forums, logins, and anywhere you see those “Prove you’re a human” challenges with its browser extension.
As a business, one can easily integrate CapSolver into the existing infrastructure with its rich API documentation, consisting of libraries in multiple popular programming languages, including Python, TypeScript, C#, PHP, and more. It also comes with professional image recognition and other customization services, which can be helpful for enterprise customers.
CapSolver supports a large number of captcha services, including:
- reCAPTCHA (v2, v3, & Enterprise)
- FunCaptcha
- hCaptcha
- Amazon Captcha (AWS WAF)
- DataDome slider captcha
- Geetest (v3 & v4)
- Akamai Web / Bmp
- ImageToText
- Imperva/Incapsula, and more
- MT Captcha
- CyberSiara captcha
In further sections, I’ll illustrate my brief experience with CapSolver Chrome Extension.
How to Use CapSolver?
The first step is to register at CapSolver to get the API key. Afterward, one can avail of the trial by joining their Telegram channel or contacting the live chat support.
The user dashboard indicates the remaining balance, the API key, service usage stats, link to a browser extension, etc.
Once the trial activates, the balance will show some amount upon refreshing the page. Clicking Add to Chrome takes you to its extension page at the Chrome Web Store:
Once you add this extension, you get a clean interface that becomes functional once you paste the API key into it:
Alternatively, you can click +Add Funds, and it takes you to the CapSolver account.
Either way, entering the API key will show the balance and activates the captcha solver service. Please remember you can turn off this extension by the toggle provided at the top right.
In addition, the checkboxes beside the captcha services let you use it selectively.
A few more features include manual solving, using a proxy, and adding websites as exceptions (blacklist).
What I’ll do now is turn on the CapSolver Chrome extension and try to solve a few demo captcha pages. This little experiment will be a testament to its capabilities.

#2. hCaptcha
#3. FunCaptcha
#4. AWS WAF Captcha
I tried several captcha services, and it aced everything without causing me annoyance even once. Therefore, it is my recommendation for individual use.
Moving on to a high-level overview of its business implementation.
CapSolver API Integration
As of now, CapSolver’s Chrome extension is catching up to its API, which is vastly superior in solving many more captcha services. CapSolver offers a diverse range of services, with a particular focus on the highly stable and robust reCAPTCHA service. As a leading provider in the market, Capsolver excels in reCAPTCHA recognition, supporting reCAPTCHA v2, v3, and enterprise versions.
Though I haven’t tried their API firsthand, based on my experience with their Chrome extension, I’m hopeful of a highly accurate, speedy, and stable service.
Here is a general process to integrate CapSolver into your system:
Step 1: Registration to get the CapSolver API key.
Step 2: You need to select the specific captcha service and proceed as per CapSolver’s API documentation. Every captcha service is unique. Therefore, one needs to opt for the appropriate method for API integration.
However, CapSolver also has an extension to help identify the captcha type and the site-specific parameters, including sitekey, pageAction, API Domain, etc. Once these parameters are detected, you can incorporate them into your code. When the CAPTCHA parameters have been detected, Capsolver will return a JSON detailing how you should submit the captcha parameters to their service.
Step 3: This involves API integration, for which CapSolver has helpful documentation in multiple programming languages.
You’ll get the API response, provided you have submitted the correct parameters and have sufficient account balance.
CapSolver Pricing

CapSolver has three pricing models: package, pay-per-use, and custom.
Package pricing is the simplest and starts at $23 per month for 50K requests (Geetest). The price, however, varies based on the captcha service and currently tops at $135 a month for 50K requests for DataDome. Specifically, the reCAPTCHA solving package bills $36 a month for a similar amount of API requests.
Pay-per-use plan works as $x per 1000 requests. As of now, it ranges from $0.4 (ImageToText) to $3 (reCAPTCHA v3 Enterprise) per 1K requests.
You can also contact CapSolver support to create a custom package if the existing one does not meet your requirements.
Final Thoughts
My brief experience with CapSolver was very satisfactory. Not only did their Chrome extension work as advertised, but their support was prompt to answer my queries. It easily passed reCaptcha, hCaptcha, FunCaptcha, and AWS WAF captcha in the first attempts.
And though I couldn’t tried their API service in this short encounter, I’m hopeful it would be effortless for the developers, thanks to the in-depth tutorials. Finally, I would advise you to take the trial and see for yourself if CapSolver is what you’re looking for.
CapSolver earned the Geekflare Innovation Award for its excellent features, like an easy-to-use Chrome extension and rich API documentation.
